Rights:
Men and Women didn't have the same rights in ancient Athens. The Men had more rights than the Women. Women where only important because they gave birth to children and they ran the house. While the women stayed at home the men were encharge of running the government or they got to go hunting or horse riding. Men had the right to help make decisions and make/change laws at the assembly but women didn't have that right. Only men could find themselves in a position of power on the council or in the assembly.
